I remember listening to the radio on Election Day 2020, and they were saying Trump was over performing in NM. Biden ended up winning by about 10% and 100,000 votes. That was with 68% of the state voting. Those numbers will be way down this time. They have shown a willingness to go heavy third party with almost 10% voting Gary Johnson in 2016. He was a former governor, but if RFK Jr. could pull similar numbers I wouldn’t be shocked to see Trump with a real shot there.

I feel like there’s too many Injun Messicans there and DJT does better with the less bronze Messican Messicans.

Would be fun though. If Trump is within 5% in NM that probably means he’s swept all the other swing states including AZ and NV.

Why does NM vote more blue? Most Native American people I've come across are more on the conservative side

No chance but he doesn’t need it, he’s probably getting MI and GA and WI is slightly tilting red. He gets those 3 or just GA and PA and nothing else crazy happens anywhere else, it’s over.

New Mexico as a state has rhe weirdest aura. Hippies, poor mexicans, & oil baws are the three main types of people. Too many hippies imo for him to win

Trump isn’t winning the ghetto desert state.

Hopefully takes back Arizona.

I left that Dem shitehole in 2022. No chance it goes red. Dem Governor Lujan wanted to be Bidens VP in the worst way.
She had the nations worst Covid lockdown policies. She buys votes. Free college tuition. Removed the state gasoline tax. $500 state tax rebate for single filers. $1000 for married couples. $1000 stimulus check payments.Pledged $10 million for a new abortion clinic in Las Cruces. Meanwhile she attacks the 2nd ammendment and the idiot liberals in ABQ and Santa Fe cheer her on. Biden won NM 60-40 in 2020. Practically all of those votes coming from the densely populated cities of ABQ, Santa Fe and Las Cruces. Trump dominates the sparsely populated rural areas 80-20.

Lots of blue states and others suspended gas taxes, it was still ridiculously high

They dont live on reservations here, but the villages are the far left strongholds. The native village is a good place to see how shitty socialism is.

Damn Shrubber, you in NM now too? You get around playboy. Fun fact, when I first noticed your handle quite some time back, in my mind I determined that you were a bush pilot in Alaska. Is there any truth to that rumor being passed around, in my head?

No chance. New Mexico has an absurd amount of population on welfare. That's a blue state forever.

I went in summer 2020. Santa Fe town square was dead. ABQ was dead. Covid restrictions were crazy.

If It didn’t turn red in ‘20 or ‘22 then it surely won’t in 2024. Some people are just a lost cause

I wouldn’t necessarily tag any state as “no chance.” I think folks are so caught up in identity politics and the great American debate of “Trump: Too gruff to be President” to actually notice and contemplate how “bad” or “rough” or “tough” just about every “normal” or even halfway normal family or person in this country believes they have it, and quite noticeably very much mostly so since Biden became President….despite the promises of the exact opposite. People are plenty aware of the fact that what Biden and the Democrats said they would fix or repair or address as far as divisiveness and anxiety is concerned has doubled in severity instead of the aforementioned promises.

And of extremely important note is the reality, something to keep in mind, that we on this board are far, far from an accurate representation of any groups of people on the outside. Trump will win without a whole bunch of stress if the vast majority of rightist voters do their part and nudge others to do same. Just like they did in Florida in 2020.
