Could the rise of nationalism be what Russia wants?

If all of these Western countries break their alliances, does it allow for a "divide and conquer" type of strategy making it easier for Russia to be a major player in the world?

It is definitely what they want. Sadly, it is what a lot of people here want to. Going a step further into white nationalism... We will continue to see further division even within western nations.

Huh? We were always sovereign nations and the US is the strength and foundation of whatever alliance exists. The US needs to re-identify itself. The "globalists" usually only think in terms of economics and nothing else. It's why everything they do sucks, because there's a far stronger cultural reality to reconcile between the west and the middle east or Russia. This is what they fail to understand. I have yet to meet a poor person who shares globalist values.

No, because these nations are going it alone and reinvesting in militarism. The globalized countries were all freeloading off of each other. They were united, but that union was not worth the paper it was printed on. It had no teeth. Russia will find that detente suits them no better than brinksmanship. The Russian economy is unsustainable in the face of fracking and LNG making it cheap to ship plentiful natural gas to Europe rather than going through Russia.

The "blame immigrants from brown countries for your problems" movement is not new or unique. It isnt all that hard to recognize either. Straight from the populist nationalist handbook. "white nationalism" only comes into play when i read 10 threads a day about the white man being opressed by "sjws"

We don't have a great deal of immigration from "the orient," which I'm assuming you're using in the classic sense encompassing the East Asia as well as South Asia and the ME.
As an aside, Russia has more Muslims to worry about than any western nation.
