They list Jenner and Schilling as two inflection points. I think you can add the Kaepernick BS to the Shilling momentum even though the Kaepernick BS was not directly tied to ESPN like the Jenner and Shilling BS.

It's true for me. I don't like sports and politics mixed. They are run by liberals so they are making their own choices to do this.

I only watch ESPN when a game is on. And really only for college football games.

What happened around October 15 to cause such an increase I wonder?

Also a little drop in April 2014. That's when Michael Sam was drafted by the NFL.

I've said it many times, I watch ESPN for the LSU, Saints and now some NBA games. That's it.

In fact I enjoy NBA on TNT a lot better because I'm really entertained by Shaq and Charles.

People like myself watch sports as a way to unwind from everyday affairs, including politics. Shoving the likes of Caitlyn Jenner down my throat doesn't help that cause, nor do debates on gender bathroom issues.

I didn't think I could cut the cord because of sports. With ESPN's politics though I am finding the idea more palatable. I can walk to a bar and watch a game if I want to.

They (conservatives) forgot about it or reached the I-don't-care conclusion about Jenner. I'm surprised the Michael Sam propaganda is not an inflection point on the chart too.

I think Shilling hurt them the most not because he is conservative but because ESPN pissed off A LOT of baseball fans.

What the hell are you responding to with this? I must have missed anyone advocating or even possibly suggesting government intervention here.

Let's say that going political is only partially responsible for their problems but it's not the main reason. You would still think they would rectify that yet they seem to be doubling down.

DGAF about Schilling mainly because I hate the red sox and I think he bloodied his own sock for a spot in history somehow.

Try another angle at gotcha.

ESPN is doomed by their corporate tree:

Disney/ABC/ESPN

That "tree" can only yield poisonous fruit.

Meh, I really don't like the socks. Maybe his little boo boo did bleed a bit but the attention it got...
