Comparing everything to Hitler

How does this make the Jews and family of Holacaust survivors feel? By calling every Tom, Dick, and Harry by Hitler we are minimizing how evil Hitler was. People should be ashamed. Hitler is in a class of his own and we shouldn't be making light of it.

While I understand the point you are trying to make, there are very very few holocaust survivors that remain today.

Family of Holacuast survivors I believe I said. Either way, survivors or not, why amid the left minimizing Hitler by calling everyone and everything they don't agree with Hitler?

I was called a Nazi-sympathizer on this board this week for questioning the wisdom of supporting Identity Politics and Political Violence. Many of my paternal ancestors were taken to a Nazi camp in April 1943 and never seen again.
That's how Progressivism works. It's a black and white Fundamentalist orthodoxy for true believers and it lacks both a sense of decency and a sense of proportion. Where you would feel shame and embarrassment, they feel moral sanctimony. They just called out "a Nazi", man. Feels good to them.
