Holy shite

quote:

A company in Wisconsin that claims to be on the cutting edge of new technology will be the first in the nation to implant microchips in its employees.

Three Square Marketing, which is a vending machine business, said the chip, which is about as big a grain of rice, will be implanted under the skin between the thumb and forefinger.

The company said on its Facebook page that you are more likely to be tracked on your cellphone than on one of the chips.

The chip enable employees to pay for snacks in the company break room, serve as an electronic key to get into the building and to log on to their individual computers.

The company said more than 50 employees have volunteered to allow the chip to be implanted. Three Square marketing will pay the $300 cost of each chip for the volunteers.

We no longer love freedom in this country.

I know, get a new job.

We have become so conditioned to be spied upon by our own government and tracked by private businesses for consumer purposes most people won't bat an eye at this.

If these things are too much of a hassle to do without the use of an inserted chip, you have become too lazy to live.

We had one put in our puppy.

Now I finally know why she always has a spare bag of chips in her bed.

And who will pay for the removal when the employee quits or gets fired?

My first thought was what kind of high end high tech company is this.

Vending machines

Wave of the future folks. If you want your govt health care to hold down cost you must get a chip.
Work for the gov? Get a chip.
And of course vending machine companies!
All will be chipped in the name of health, security and lowering cost.

"Volunteer" is freedom. These employees agreed to have it implanted. It's not mandated.

Are you sure you understand words?

It's a voluntary program, and there will always be idiots to agree to dumb shite like this.

Btw, pretty much every one of us is already stupid enough to grant a company FAR more invasive information every single day. Just look to the phone in your pocket.

^^^this.

work for the State or a city gov job. the company vehicle tracks your every move. service companies give their employees vehicles... the companies that have the owners sitting on their computers all day calling their techs asking why they took a dump in such and such place for such and such amount of time-will eventually fail they get carried away with spying and lose track of the business.
