Gaffigan is controlled by his wife.
She says move to NY, they move to NY (and raise a family in the city).
She is the Catholic who controls the family's religious routine.
She is his writer, manager, promoter. If she isnt writing his tweets for him, he is definitely getting approval before he hits "submit".
Gaffigan is just a parrot repeating his wife's talking points. She is the one who dictates everything for him including his political opinions.

I don't take my political advise from comedians or high school grads with a great jump shot but it is funny to listen to them melt!

Sounds like he is very smart. Not only is he able to provide for his family currently he will be able to make sure they are all taken care of long after he is gone because he didn't feel the need to spend his money on lavish mansions and cars.
