I did a paper on the lack of dignity in death today. Medicine has come so far as to give families the means to continue their loved ones life far beyond what is morally ethical from a provider's viewpoint. I am opposed to the idea of euthanasia, however, I am not opposed to the complete withdrawal of treatment and letting nature take its course.

I think that people of sound mind should have the right to decide the way that they die when they have a terminal illness.

I fully support it.

I am torn. I watched my grandmother die from April 2007 to July 2007 from liver cancer. It was absolutely devastating; however, not one time did she lose her faith or her courage. She chose at 82 not to take any treatments and died at home under Hospice care. She would not have chosen to end her life by suicide. I can see how some would.

With that being said, my opposition comes primarily from the fact that this is one of the initiatives being pushed by "progressive" organizations and funded and heralded by George Soros. I cannot believe that the end game for this is designed for the good of humanity. I still don't know what that end game is, but any proposition that receives millions in funding from Soros spooks me.

NO to human euthanasia. Dying naturally is a part the circle of life. Hospice & pain control is different... that is required. This seems to put the healthcare providers in a difficult spot.

They should take away her right to have any future babies if she has an abortion. Take all her baby making shite out.

I am strongly for legalized voluntary euthanasia for any adult that wants to be euthanized peacefully. I'm not just talking about terminally sick people, I mean the "tired of life" people that are physically healthy. They too should be afforded the right to die if they don't want to be here.

Denver and Boulder are blue. The rest of the state is very solidly red.

Does a neonate, infant, toddler, or child pay taxes? Don't think so. So it's OK to kill them too?

As far as the hypocradic oath goes, sometimes you do more harm by extending life than just letting someone go when it's there time. We have advanced so far in medicine that we can extend life beyond the natural limits. Somewhere it was quoted that the difference between God and a doctor is God knows when it's time for someone to go.

Which argument do you want?

If a woman can't even financially support herself, be that of her age or pure lack of self worth, why should we force her to bring a child into this world to suck off the government teet if she doesn't want to do so? How about if the child has sever issues caught early in the pregnancy? Should she be forced to have a child that will never live a normal life? What about in cases of rape? Do we go by the "god gave you a baby, it was his plan to give you a baby during the worst 10 minutes of your life and you must keep this baby"?

I won't even get into the fact that statistics prove that in countries where abortion is illegal, it happens at the same rate as in countries where abortion is legal. So now if someone takes away their right to have a legal, proper abortion we have to worry about her showing up at the emergency room bleeding out of her vagina because Billy Joe stuck something up there in their trailer in Bernice Louisiana.

I'm not saying I support abortion personally, but I support the right for any woman in this world to have an abortion.

Why does the father get absolutely no say whatsoever? Sure the woman carries the child but a baby never happens without the other person involved. It took two for pregnancy to occur...

Too many people waiting to adopt so that shouldn't be an issue. Honestly, my take is if someone is in that position: DON'T GET PREGNANT IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Not screaming at you but it's not really that hard to avoid pregnancy for people who know they can't afford pregnancy.

Those are tough circumstances. Not sure what the right answer is but I do know that abortion is KILLING a fetus. Since when is killing humans OK in our society? It reminds of "The Giver"... movie with Jeff Bridges & Meryl Streep. Also it should be noted that children who are mentally handicapped, autistic, or born with congenital anomalies grow to live fulfilling lives. Who is to say? Other than God, that is.

Someone is terminal and suffering and wants to go out humanely than the patient should have the choice. The patient has to be terminal agreed upon by 2 doctors with about 6 months or less to live and must able to make the decision. I do not see why any reasonable person would oppose this.
