Disregarding the racial aspects, get a load of this statement, from a LEFTIST:

quote:

They (the Trump transition team) keep bringing up comedians and and actors athletes to represent black interests. It’s demeaning, it’s disrespectful, and it’s condescending,” Hill argued. “Bring some people up there with expertise, Donald Trump, don’t just bring up people to entertain.”

A leftist chiding someone for relying on actors and comedians.

quote:

ou weren’t even there…” retorted LeVell. “Pastor Darryl Scott, Mike Cohen, they are in the process of bringing all types of people from all over the country, from all different backgrounds. Remember the diversity coalition where we reached out to all different types of people?” “Yeah, it was a bunch of mediocre Negroes being dragged in front of TV as a photo-op for Donald Trump’s exploitative campaign against black people. And you are an example of that,” Hill said, adding later he wasn't engaging in "name-calling." The segment devolved into a shouting match from that point on.

did not realize how scared they are of people starting to think for themselves. Pretty unfortunate language from an educated man.

Mark Lamont Hill is a race baiter and jackass, straight up. I love how he urges Trump to bring in people with expertise, and then mentions Eric Dyson of all people as one such person.

What's he right about? Can you define a "mediocre negro" for me?

I grew up in the South, yet have never heard that term.

Just when you think Lamont-Hill can't possibly top his latest foray into stupidity he somehow manages to fool you.

Wondering what the reaction would be if Trump described MLK's brother this way? They met, informally apparently, yesterday.

That the way Trump thinks about black is demeaning. The fact he thinks he can win over the inner city by bringing in Steve Harvey, Ray Lewis, and Kanye West is stupid. He basically said bring in people who will challenge how the President thinks. Bring in people with expertise, with experience. People who can actually bring about real change. Policy makers, people with capital not some athletes and entertainers who can't do a damn thing for them but make a bunch of empty promises.

Please explain to a white dude that grew up in the racist south as a minority what this term means.

Thanks.

Also, for those of you wondering if Trump could help inner cities....

This thread is example one of many why the left does not want it to happen.

I guess you missed Meryl Streep and all of the other actors making political statements and the LEFT praising them for it. Only when it benefits themselves of course.

Probably something to do with stereotypes, etc.

We definitely need to clarify what constitutes mild negroes, medium negroes and spicy negroes.

Ok. I can actually accept that.

But I don't really understand how it's any different than how the Clinton campaign utilized celebrities, or how the Obama administration utilized celebrities. Other than their ideologies.

Is Carson a "mediocre negro"? Are MLK's family? The black attorneys supporting Sessions during the hearings? Or are we just talking about the Kanye's and Jay Z's of the world?

I'm cool with your useless celebrity angle if you're consistent about it. B/c they are useless, other than for manipulation of the lowest common denominator. And all campiagns/admins do that.
