CNN To Bob Schieffer: People Will Say You’re Normalizing Trump by Praising Saudi Speech

Guest host John Berman had to push back: “you know, Bob, though, that there will be people who look at that last comment you made and say you’re normalizing the president.”
Schieffer gave the perfect response: he wasn’t trying to normalize Trump, he was trying to do what reporters [are supposed to] do: report.

That comment says it all regarding the biased & corrupt MSM. The man was fairly elected, yet the media has taken it upon themselves to determine that Trump should never be portrayed in a positive light.

Good response from Schieffer, but he lost all credibility as a reporter 20 years ago during the Clinton impeachment. Not sure who/whom was feeding him bogus "insider" info (particularly about WJC's grand jury testimony), but he reported a lot of stuff as fact that turned out to be complete fabrication.
He was Fake News before Fake News was even a thing.

oh I doubt that - conservatives check them out once in a while to see if there is a glimpse of real journalism going on.
I do that a couple times a week - usually takes about 5 min to decide they haven't changed - still pumping out the DEM propaganda.
I clicked over to them immediately after Trump's speech yesterday - first words I heard were 'bringing the same message that Obama did in Cairo' - then went to a panel discussion where the first topic was 'Trump didn't address the broader problems.'
that was it for me - went back to FNC - then to History/Science/NatGeo channels.

Yeah, I saw that live yesterday. Like a "how dare you say anything nice about Trump". Just be honest is all I ask, which is apparently insulting for CNN.

Yep, and then they failed to recall that Obama's Cairo speech "Arab Spring" was a historical disaster in foreign policy. Resulting in protesters calling Obama and HRC terrorists for siding with them via the muslim brotherhood--Morsi.
Obama turned the ME into a huge dumpster fire. But his speech was good because he said it would be an arab spring.
