One Friday night months ago... CNN had a series on "Inside ISIS." They actually showed fricking terrorists saying they just need jobs and prayer places and rugs. It was treasonous.

Sorry but consensus of the ignorant doesn't make it real.

I was actually involved in this. I saw what they're selling as an attack. It wasn't. It was IP addresses on a log that showed they visited the website. That's it.

If you think the russian state hackers don't know how to proxy away from a russian IP you're completely ignorant of the process.

If you think that these IP's that Homeland said to search for showing up in a log of visitors to a Sec of State website is an indicator of an attack by ANYBODY, you are ignorant of the process.

I talked to most of the people involved with securing the networks for most of the states during this time. We were all seeing the same things. Nothing out of the ordinary. It didn't happen.

At the time I felt like when we were given a list of IP's to search for as an indicator of compromise that somebody had to be joking. And then I realized that the only reason somebody would give that list out would be to take a census of all the states that had been visited by those IPs so they could say to people who are ignorant about cyber security that all these states were attacked by the russians. I mean there's your proof! It's a russian IP address! There were a couple of others from other countries but the Russian one's were primarily what we saw.

The people in this interview never laid eyes on the data. They likely don't understand the subject, just what they've been told. But now they're out there selling this pack of lies and you people are swallowing it hook, line, and sinker.

You watch what the story is going to say. They'll talk about how the 'hackers' visited all these different places. And if you believe that hackers are stupid enough to not proxy and this is how it's done, then well, I can't change your mind. But you don't know what you're talking about.


It's driving me freaking crazy that I will post this and risk all kinds of personal retribution but the average person on here skips over it with their eyes glazed over.

Because I know what that means. They've sold this shite and you've bought it.
