The decline of the press is not coming about because trump shut them out of a dinner. The press did this to themselves by demonizinghalf the country for ten months.

So ... because you guys don't like the tone of the coverage, we should just do away with press access to the White House. Does the phrase "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water" mean anything to you?

The press in this country have been infiltrated and co-opted by the international communist agenda. That was the plan from the time the USSR was intentionally dissolved to lull the west to sleep while our institutions were undermined from within.

As such, the less access the have, the less sobtage they can do to America. I am fine with shutting them out.

"Out of the White House". Lol. Clearly because Donald trump has withheld press coverage from this crucial dinner with his family, press will no longer be allowed at the White House. The hysteria and hyperbole is delicious.

Melt away, idiot.

that because you're fricking nuts celebrating the decline of the press.

Well whose fault is that? It's not the listeners and readers of the press. We don't write the stories, we interpret them. If the press is oblivious to the wants of its audience, then the problem lies with them. As the saying goes, it's harder to tell the truth than it is a lie. That is the mantra the media has adopted upon itself.

Non progressive views have been cast aside and scorned by the press for the last quarter century. It IS sad. No one believes them anymore. I would rather them be fair and trusted than this current state of affairs. They really need more "diversity" among their ranks.

Stop pretending that they are an actual news source. They are not. They have some sunk to the level of the Trump Enquirer.

There is no objective press; therefore, the press is becoming irrelevant. Never in my life have I seen the MSM so blatantly biased.

The American people do not trust the media, and rightly so. They spend their time demonizing what they don't like, creating narratives instead of reporting, feeding their own news with fake stories, bellowing opinions, and generally sowing seeds of discontentment. They have learned nothing from the polls decrying their biases. They have learned nothing from the overwhelming defeat of their agendas. They are a threat to America.

I am not advocating shutting out the press or making them a tool for government propaganda, because that is what they have basically been for eight years. We need real reporting. I just don't know where it can come from, but leaving them out for now is acceptable. They are not concerned for the president-elect. They seek to destroy his plans.

We get the press we deserve

and that goes both sides. They made a business decision to go left and not be journalist.

If someone that despised you and did nothing but treat you like dirt, would you let them hang around in your house and around your family? Just so they can look around and go write the worst, exaggeration possible?

What is "presidential protocol" when going to dinner? This was literally the first I've ever heard there was one. I'm dead serious.

There should be access to the press. However there are thousands of newspapers out there, and not enough room for them all in the room. Thus, you have to be selective in who you allow access to. Id think objectivity would be a criteria. If so, CNN wouldnt make the cut. Maybe the Des Moines Register can take their place. CNN isnt "entitled" to jack shite. The people are better served by real reporters who care about the truth.
