Why are you so angry? Not going to apologize that i think losing the popular vote by millions is news worthy. I also think its fair to discuss how that impacts concepts of a landslide. You accuse me of being childish and yet i am startin to think one of your kids broke into your account with the way you are melting down over nothing. Calm down and take a break from TD or something. People discussing the popular vote shouldnt make you lose control of your bowels man.

Have a good eve

Member when the left had a massive hissy fit and begged the electoral college to vote with their conscious?

That had to have been an even worse loss than the first, right? To throw such a MASSIVE hissy fit, just to have more dems flip their vote than repubs.

Faith spotted eagle for fricks sake

The election was over a month ago. Why is this still "newsworthy?"

Sure. It doesn't.

No matter how many times you accuse me of melting, the facts remain the same. After rigging the primary she lost by 77 electoral votes to a neophyte who did not even have the backing of his own party.

Rather than counting votes in two states, take a good hard look at your platform and start getting ready for 2020. Because it is going to be a long four years.

If only you needed an ID to vote... Kind of like you need an ID to buy Corona or mad dog 20/20.

If only we had ID laws the "popular vote" wouldnt have turned out the way it did.

And you still would have lost.

Bow down and kiss the ring boy.

I think you would probably feel differently if roles were reversed. But it doesnt matter. You dont have the power to determine what makes interesting news or discussion..

I wouldn't. But I'm sure you would.

Of course not. That's the entire premise of this thread. The popular vote is LITERALLY irrelevant.

I absoulety LOVE that the media and the left are pushing this narrative. I hope they continue to push it for 4 more years. This narrative only helps Trump.

Says the guy shitting his pants because people have the audacity to discuss a historical discrepancy between popular vote and EC results. For someone who hates Trump supposedly you sure are dancing in the endzone after his victory.
In any case, no idea what you are after in this exchange

You know you've just completely made up this idea that he's mad or freaking out about this right? It's all in your head.

It has been six weeks. Stop talking about the girl or the job that got away. Focus on the future. If you see an issue then do something about it. That is what well adjusted adults do. Not relive the drama over and over on Facebook. Should we amend the Constitution to change the electoral college? Should it be by proportion within a state? Add something substantive to the discussion and stop trying to delegitimize the election of Donald J. Trump. He was elected as President of the United States, not the United Individual Citizens.

It is going to be a long four years for you.

That is the main reason I refrained from making many negative political posts while I was on active duty--I didn't vote for Obama, but he was my CiC. Duty before personal druthers

You free to do lunch on the 30th, btw?

More fake news from the Clinton News Network.

The popular vote doesn't mean jack when electing a POTUS.

But CNN is an echo chamber inside the liberal bubble. Nobody outside the bubble GAF what they say. They're talking to themselves.

Who are you to tell me or anyone what is worthy of discussing on a Political Talk forum?

Here is what I think is interesting:
We have a President who won the election by a substantial electoral college margin. This same person lost the popular vote by a non-trivial margin (millions). From a data science perspective, the correlation discrepancy between the two data points is HISTORICALLY disparate. As a science guy and as someone who has always been interested in politics I find that fascinating. As do many others.

Naturally and unsurprisingly, idiots on both sides are rushing into this discussion to protect their biased interests. Liberals who are already in mourning find the result even harder to swallow as a result of the popular vote despite knowing going in how the contest would be decided. Conservatives are practicing faux outrage, wondering how in the world anyone could ever care about a candidate not winning a plurality of the popular vote and yet still becoming President.

The truth is you are overreacting and making wild and childish accusations. I have already stated that the popular vote result does not delegitimize the results. You are just too busy bleeding into your tampon to read what I am saying. (See, I can talk like you assholes too)...

TLDR; If you aren't going to be civil go frick yourself guy. Your opinion isn't worth any more than anyone else's.

You aren't the only who served. Though flouting it in this discussion where it is absolutely irrelevant shows that perhaps you lack the character that is often associated with service. I am still going with you just having a bad day though. You have always been pretty reasonable. Certainly not the type of guy to accuse everyone of delegitimizing the President for even having the audacity to discuss data.

Btw, thinking it is newsworthy that the president elect lost the popular vote by millions is not the same as not accepting the result. And i think you know that

Speaking of newsworthy, you must have missed all of the news about recounts, russian election rigging, and faithless electors.

But, yeah. Other than that, the dems totally accepted the election results.

Here's the rub...it doesn't fricking matter!

Meh it doesn't matter as far as him occupying the White HOuse but it does matter as far as him being viewed as legitimate. He has lost the popular vote by the largest raw vote total in American history. For this reason he was always be viwed as illegitmate in the eyes of many people. Sorry there's absolutely nothing you can do about that. So while he still "won" and there's nothing we can do about that he's still the most illegitimate president ever. That's why the poor insecure guy whines about it on twitter so much.
