I would like to see a definition of "of color."
Who qualified? I know plenty of people that might be surprised they are people of color, as they don't identify as such. And you would never know by looking at them.

I'm all for diversity as it keeps me thinking about he ways in which I can keep my business on the come up.
Obama did a great job hiring qualified minorities to high positions. Better than any other president. Hope trump continues the trend.

Are you really going to try and say that colleges value "diverse thought"? LOL. Not in this country they don't.
There's not a "diversity" huckster doesn't consider 3 super liberals who agree on every major issue and who are black, Hispanic and white to be more "diverse than putting Bernie Sanders, Pat Robertson and Milo in a room together.
Diversity of thought is not only not a factor in their thinking, they actively repudiate people who fit the "diverse" mold who have the nerve to not play the part.
Hence, Clarence Thomas, Antonin Scalia and Ronald Reagan in a room together are not "diverse" but replace Thomas with Barack Obama and suddenly, they are.

And I don't care how people normally define diversity. I'm talking about cultural diversity. Culture is influenced by race, gender, upbringing, location, and 1000 other things. And it is a diversity of cultures that brings about different opinions and ideas. That is why people are in favor of diversity.

I would think that melanated people qualify as such - at the top of that would be black people because they have the most melanin in their skin. These appointments are akin to parsing words to obfuscate the real meaning of a sentence and thus, the intentions of the speaker.

Diversity of race can lead to diversity of culture, but diversity of race alone is actually just racist. Diversity of culture is were we gain benefits in groups.

Excellent point. Cultural diversity was fought every step of the way in this country, but it still happened, and we prospered because of it.
