Chris Wallace Questions Why We Should Believe Jobs Numbers Trump Used To Dismiss

On Fox News Sunday today, Chris Wallace asked White House Chief Economic Advisor Gary Cohn about President Trump‘s past dismissals of jobs numbers.
The White House touted the numbers out this past Friday, but as Wallace pointed out, during the campaign Trump called similar reports “phony.”
Sean Spicer quoted Trump as explaining, “They may have been phony in the past, but they are very real now.”
Wallace played a video of Trump dismissing the “phony” numbers and asked Cohn, “If that’s true, why should we believe these numbers? And the fact is, did you inherit an economy that has been for the last 18 months somewhere between 4.6 and 5 percent unemployment?”

I believe it because it's not great.

I bet it's been awhile since you used Chris Wallace as a reference point.
PS - You left-wing loons can have him.

Very fake "journalism" Mr. Wallace.
President Trump has not (yet?) revamped the formulas Obozo's Administration revamped in order to cook up the numbers to be favorable (less unfavorable)towards Obozo's policies. The formulas used before Obozo are not the same as the ones used now, they changed in Obozo's tenure.

Meh. No need for the rest of us to play the stupid game just because some folks choose to. Though I guess it's a solid swipe at Trump/Trumpkins.

So he is using the fake obozo numbers. Glad we could clear that up.

Well, what it is is a way to deflect from the actual good news in the jobs report. Not only did jobs increase by about 110K more than expected, there was a shift away from service-sector jobs towards manufacturing & construction.
But of course, why be happy about that when a sophomoric jab at Trump & his supporters is all you left-wing loons care about, anyway?

I think trump has some really great ideas for the US, I just wish he'd get rid of twitter and his childish ways.

Yeah, that's why I didn't watch him this morning for about the 78th consecutive time.

That's a FAIR question to ask. I had no problem with it.

Nah.... he is a registered democrat. He's just capable of some restraint.

It was a good report and I said as much on Friday. I also noted, just here, that there's no use in playing the stupid games that clowns like you have played with figures for the last several years. And a jab is a jab. I don't have to be happy about it?

Wallace is a liberal just like his daddy from 60 Minutes.

Except I watched Spicer's Presser, while it was a somewhat lighthearted moment, the emphasis was these are the numbers for the Trump Admin while using the formulas of the Obozo Admin for a complete apples:apples comparison.
At some point in the future, possibly when the MSM is off the total and complete warpath against this admin, they may revamp the formulas to a more traditional measure.

If the media wasn't so damned corrupt, I would agree with you. But since it is what it is, I'm glad he's using twitter, rallies, etc. to bring his undiluted message to the American people.
