The far-right conspiracy theorist agreed Wednesday to settle a defamation lawsuit filed against him by Greek yogurt manufacturer Chobani.
The key component of the settlement agreement required him to retract inflammatory comments about refugees and the company he made on his Infowars broadcast last month.
“During the week of April 10, 2017, certain statements were made on the Infowars, Twitter feed and YouTube channel regarding Chobani LLC that I now understand to be wrong. The tweets and video have now been retracted, and will not be re-posted,” Jones said. “On behalf of Infowars, I regret that we mischaracterized Chobani, its employees and the people of Twin Falls, Idaho, the way we did.”
It marks the latest blow to Jones, who in March apologized and issued a retraction to a Washington, D.C.-based pizzeria for his broadcast’s role in pushing a false story about a child sex ring that involved Hillary Clinton.

IIRC Jones brought attention to a couple of Muslim teens raping a young girl in Twin Falls (which is a true story). But somehow Jones connected them to the Chobani plant in the area (I am not sure what his reasoning was). It is true, though, that a lot of immigrants work at that plant.

Didn't the Trump administration recently grant White House Press credentials to Infowars? When any media organization backs down from two claims of defamation and issues apologies, that pretty much proves that they are purveyors of truly fake news.

Is there any bigger joke in media than this idiot? He's been a raving moron for years, but now the targets of his slander have started calling him on it and he is having to retract his bullshite. Also, his own lawyers argued in his recent custody case against his ex-wife (which he lost) that even HE doesn't believe the bullshite he spews, but is only "playing a character" for his audience.
The guy is a raving lunatic for sure, but my God how fricking moronic do his listeners who believe him have to be? These are people who are allowed to vote, drive cars and reproduce! There is no hope for humanity if there are that many people who are that fricking stupid allowed to roam freely about the country.
