Its either a hard bluff, or they alrdy got assurance the trip wouldnt happen so now they start making direct threats knowing they wont have to follow through.

No matter what political side you are on, this has major implications.
Decide not to go, China now claims they are the strongest country and made the USA scare away. Then Taiwan instantly invaded by China. US then enters the war to back Taiwan and shipping lanes.
If she does go and they shoot down the plane, instant war declaration.
If she does go and they do nothing, then Pelosi looks like a hero to some of the country. (not me - to be clear)
It’s a lose lose situation.

Amazing that we're just over halfway through the year and we've got Russia wrecking shop in Ukraine and laughing at Germany trying to keep the lights on, and now China threatening to SHOOT DOWN THE 2ND IN LINE TO THE US PRESIDENCY.
Our spot as top world power has been tenuous for a while but this is a pretty blatant knuckle check. Pelosi better catch Covid with the quickness because that is the only way to save face at this point in the pissing contest.
