China now claiming they have ability to demolish US aircraft carriers

Chinese researchers are claiming that the world’s largest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, could be demolished with absolute certainty using hypersonic missiles.
Really. For a computer simulation to be that precise, the Chinese would have to have intimate knowledge of the carrier’s defense capabilities. If any of our super carriers were struck with a missile of any type from a hostile country things would start happening that China cannot simulate on a screen. Like the movement of submarines and the launching of missiles which will more than likely have multiple reentry vehicles that would turn China into the world’s largest barbecue. The Chinese would no longer have to worry about a declining population and the world would be on fire. Dictators and despots love simulations. They love forecasting their unchecked power amongst the people they control to show how powerful they are.
A more powerful simulation would be the United States enforcing a total trade embargo of all things China and stop all food exports to China. Watching a billion Chinese people wither and starving on a television screen would be and even more powerful simulation because it wouldn’t be inanimate objects like ships being hit with missiles, it would be the culmination of thousands of years of Chinese history withering on the vine because of the dictatorial machinations of evil dictators. The ball is in their court.

China couldn’t do a damn thing. They’d all be dead before they even struck an aircraft carrier. If they really were that strong, they would have invaded Taiwan by now, but they haven’t, because they know who runs the air, land, sea, and space in this world.

About the only thing that would be effective would be lasers and rail guns. I don't know how far along we are on these, but you know the CCP spies have all that information and designs. Thank a Democrat.

And that big Dam would be in the first round. Re any "boycott", it would hurt us more than them in current manufacturing scenario. Of course why would they take out Carriers and not our Grid with it? EMPs taking the route of those Balloons would be a death blow to this Nation.
It's still MAD (mutually assured destruction). Another BioWarfare bomb would be their best bet.

Especially when nothing you do is secret from them. They have spies all inside the U.S. and are constantly stealing the most classified defense information. The F-35 is proof of this. It was long suspected the Chinese stole F-35 plans, but the Snowden documents confirmed it.

2. they know once their surface fleet makes some aggressive moves, its gone.
3. their only hope is to launch a nuke strike

What if we had a president who could go over to China like a boss and talk real numbers, real trade deals... Become a partner with them so that we are able to remain peaceful in a way that benefits both countries well into the unseen future, culturally... economically?
We had one who was able to do things like that. We sure could use him back. Biden's admin seems to think that being dicks to them is the way to go. DeSantis (will probably) think that we need to give Lockheed and Raytheon a trillion dollars to build missiles and warships to just frick with them.

China has had this capability for at least 15 years that I know of. Instead of spending $1-$5 billion per ship trying to keep up they spent that money on surface-to-surface anti-ship missiles and enough of them to overwhelm any defenses. They can launch about 100 at a time per enemy vessel with a range that covers about 3/4 of the globe. Surface fleets are obsolete against any modern opponent and have been for many years, they're little more than a jobs program in the US. This isn't a secret.
