Of course everyone saw this coming, there was no way CHICAGO of all cities would admit racism was involved, even though the four monsters who attacked that young man with a disability all but said it was.

I think they are trying to say he was an easy target because he is disabled. Doesn't make the actions any less racist.

I don't think hate crimes should be a thing either. But they've decided they should be, so if the crime fits their definition, it should be prosecuted as such.
That's why they're jumping through hoops to try to make it not fit their definition. They don't want to openly admit that the hate crime legislation was intended to only be used against white people.
