And Still not calling him President.

There is agreement across party lines that Mr. Trump is trying to do what he said he’d do during the campaign.
And Still not calling him President.

This matches exactly of what I was fixing to say. The thing that stuck out to me, they don't capitalize the P when referring to him as President without a name attached. You did. My sixth grade teacher would roll over in her grave if she knew I did something like that.

Half of the people that did not approve are staffed by CBS and CNN.

You kinda sound like SENATOR Boxer, ma'am.
It's not a big deal.

And still not an issue. He's not the first president in history to be called Mister. O'Reilly called him Mr Trump to his face multiple times during the Super Bowl interview.

I turned the speech off at about half-time. To me, the delivery of the speech was more like a campaign speech than a presidential message.
When I read the transcript today, it was a good speech. I just think it could have been better presented if it had been several decibels lower.

So you didn't watch at all! Trump was not loud at all!

You know how I know you didn't watch his speech?

I watched the speech until after the Owens' part. What would you like to know about what happened before that?
And if you don't think that it was convention-speech loud, then you should have your ears cleaned.

It's amazing how excited people on this board got about his speech last night. We've set the bar SO LOW for Donnie.
I mean seriously, all he did was read a well crafted speech out loud that he didn't even write, that's it. All he has to do is read the teleprompter and his supporters are dancing in the streets.

They called him President in the first line. I read somewhere a long time ago that the first time you mention the President in an article, you refer to him as President. After that, you refer to him as Mr.
Here's a CBSnews article that referred to Obama the exact same way. LINK

So, we can believe this particular poll?

You are correct. As long as your first reference is Pres Trump, Pres Obama, etc the rest can be Mr. Trump, Mr. Obama, etc.

It happens with each new president and occasionally in between: Some people take offense at the long-standing practice of CBS News and other broadcast journalists referring to the President with the honorific "Mister."
Some misinterpret it as a sign of disrespect. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, entirely the opposite is true.
CBS News policy dictates that we never refer to the president by just his last name. We can do that for everyone else and even other world leaders – but not the American president and his predecessors. It's meant as a sign of respect.
For example, here's part of a radio report I filed this morning:
It's a media blitz for the stimulus plan by Pres. Obama this afternoon – as he sits for separate interviews with each of five network news anchors. He's still trying to rally some republican support for the measure. But Mr. Obama remains confident he will get the bill he wants to his desk in the next couple of weeks.
On first reference, it's "President Obama." But on second reference, it's "Mr. Obama."
The reason for this is simple. It would be very bad and tiresome writing to repeatedly refer to "Pres. Obama" in sentence after sentence. So on second reference, he'll be "Mr. Obama" or just "the president."
And it bears repeating. In no way is this meant to diminish his standing or the respect which he is due.
And it's not just an issue when a Democrat is President. The issue comes up during Republican Administrations as well. (For proof, check out the web piece I wrote about this very same issue in December 2006.)

All you need to know is what's in the title... and it's something you can't change.....
76% according to CBS... 78% according to CNN approved of his speech, tone, policies...... etc.
You may see it that way, but the nation at large did not! And that sir.... makes me smile!

So you're saying that one month into his Presidency he's matched what Little Barry accomplished in eight years?
