Totally agree about the part above. I am just saying the Bush tax cuts were not a GDP driver coming out of the dotcom recession. Not at all. Small marginal impact and even that is debatable.

And the accounting scandals that took down Worldcom, Enron, Global Crossing, etc.

And withstood the 9/11 attacks that paralyzed New York and Washington, D.C. for days if not weeks.

And the briefly heightened tensions with China over the Hainan Island incident.

Not to mention the media beating the drums of doom from the day Bush took office.

I'd say the Bush tax cuts sustained America's economic resiliency through some pretty shaky times.
