Cassidy and taking away education

Why do people on my newsfeed and twitter feed keep saying "now that cassidy won i need to finish my education before he takes it away". Did i miss something?

As I recall he once said Louisiana needs to consolidate/shut down some of the redundant small colleges across the state.

Must be from that Landrieu ad where they implied that he wanted to turn all of the state colleges into prisons.
