Yep, I did some more digging. Everyone should read this. This is from the school district's press release about the situation.
What we are seeing is this shite being forced on private schools essentially at gunpoint.

I don't know if I would go that far, but the idea of school choice (see Arkansas) and gov funding sets up a coming fight over the strings that will be attached to gov funding for vouchers. When the gov gets more involved via direct tuition subsidization we may be letting the wolf into the hen house.

Dont fall for the click bait. Read the article carefully. He was expelled from the school for speaking his beliefs, but he was arrested for coming back on school grounds, trespassing.

Yep, my granddaughter was about to graduate from a Catholic Middle School. My daughter became aware my granddaughter was in the middle of eighth grade but had not progressed further than seventh-grade level math. The school was teaching seventh grade level math in the middle of the eighth grade.
So my daughter requested a consultation with the school's black (female) principal and the black (female) math teacher. I went with my daughter. We met with the principal and math teacher and expressed our concern. My daughter is a single mom, and paying that monthly tuition was a struggle for her.
We got a lot of b/s about nothing. My granddaughter went on to graduate from that school and went on to a Catholic H.S. She had to take remedial math. Enrolling in public school was out of the question. When I returned to my car after the meeting, I noticed my car had been keyed...badly. This incident occurred during the Obama era.
IMO the problem with Catholic Schools (not all of them) in America? Most of them get aid from the federal government. They can deny it, but they do. And as such, I suspect the federal government leans on Diocesan School Boards as far a curriculum and staffing are concerned.
I would argue this is what happened in this Catholic school in Canada. As in Justin 'Lil Fidel' Trudeau and his radicals leaned on this Catholic School to include LGBT indoctrination. So the kid wanted no part of this and rebelled. Whereupon, they kicked him out and arrested him. It's clear, they wanted to make an example of him - tow the LGBT line or else.
They want your kids, America!

Arrested for trespassing, not holding Christian beliefs. He waas suspended for Christian beliefs which is bad enough but he wasn't arrested for those beliefs he was arrested for trespassing. Of course arrested for trespassing doesn't seem as bad as arrested for christian beliefs....

What actually happened, in the absence of some sort of threat or actual violence, is far more insidious than what Fox News used to hook (and mislead) readers. What actually happened is far more detrimental to society than what Fox News claims happened and so many people think happened. The trouble is that those same people hear that this kid was arrested for trespassing, as he was, would immediately conclude that he was guilty and the police did the right thing...

I can see the student sitting in prison and meeting his roommate, a 30 year old guy.
Student: 'Hi, what are you in for?'
Guy: 'I drove a tractor to Ontario. Got 5 years. What did you do?'
