Step one: No party affiliation on any ballot.

This would be a huge and much needed step in the right direction.

The biggest elephant in the room, however, is campaign finance reform. What we have now is legalized bribery, but I've yet to encounter another scheme that would eliminate the bribery dilemma without getting overly burdensome on free speech.

I am in favor of eliminating party primaries for president and replacing them with a single national open primary in October with a runoff in November.

I think both parties are quickly fragmenting due to takeover by their fringe elements. Moderates have nowhere to go...that's why this is the perfect time.

All you have to do is Just vote for current 3rd parties. The more interest, the more legit the candidates will become. And there have been legitimate 3rd party candidates before, like Ralph Nader.

The two-party system is unconstitutional. The founding fathers would roll over if they saw our current political climate.

By nature a two-party system just makes every thing toxic. One extreme or the other. It's sickening.

If a 3rd party would have had a good candidate last year and Trump didn't run for president then they would of had a chance. We basicly have a 3rd party candidate in Trump now.

Saban is an old school Democrat.

He believes in earning what you get by hard work, not being handed free stuff on a silver platter from the gubment.

Saban isn't liberal. He's just smart. And he couldn't for the life of him tolerate a retard like Sean Hamburg or a coward like Jeff Sessions.

Ralph wanted to tax people more than Sanders does.

Nader was also a certified genius. I'd take him and his taxes in a heartbeat over the clown currently in office, or the psycho that was his alternative.

Why does the 3rd party always have to be the fringe folks?

I think the time to start that 3rd party (centrist) is now.

Think we could get Saban to be our first candidate out of the gate?

What principles and policies would this theoretical third party be built around?

Do you realize Nader wanted to tax some people at a 90% rate?

I wish the constitution party could make a run. They ran an evangelical type last election. I considered voting for him.

Libertarians will be a real player within the next 2 or 3 elections.

If not as a true 3rd party, it will be as a libertarian lite Republican candidate

It's coming and it needs to get here in 2020 IMO

Would much prefer over the shitshow we have in the two parties now.

I use to think that the 3rd party should be called "The Patriots Party" but I'm ok with "Extreme Right" party.

But what does that actually mean?

What is this new party's stance on Free Trade? Healthcare reform? Abortion? Drug legalization? Taxation? Addressing Climate Change? Federalism? Criminal Justice? Guns?

I am just not sure what the supposed middle ground looks like on so many of these topics?
