The liberal agenda is control of the American voting public.
The motto: You are to stupid to run your own life so we must run it for you.

Nice. Government control is the liberal goal.

Show me where they are against individual rights and unchecked federal power.
90% of the policy stances result in the expansion of federal power:
1) Constitutional Amendment to overturn Citizen United (expansion of federal power)
2) Reduce 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendment rights for Juridical Entities (expansion of federal power)
3) Increase the scope and budget of the USPS (expansion of federal power)
4) Usurp voting laws from state government and give it the federal government (expansion of federal power)
5) Create monstrous "Full Employment Trust Fund" in order to reallocate tax revenue for employment training and "job investment" of which 25% must be minority filled (expands power of federal government) Direct quote for PDA:
quote:
Privatization, deregulation and outsourcing are tools for union busting and a major source of job loss. Federal legislation is needed to create jobs and we need to organize and demand it now!
6) The Robin Hood Tax: Impose excise tax on the transfer of certain securities (stocks and bonds)(expanded federal power) - Apparently none of them actually read Robin Hood.
7) Expanded Medicare for All - i.e. Universal Healthcare (expanded federal power.)
That's just the beginning. I didn't even touch on expanding federal power for Climate Change, Federal Oversight of Education, and the god-awful Equal Rights Amendment.
Progressives answers to everything is national legislation and expanded federal power. The reason is because their entire ideology is rooted in the belief that there should be no external limitation on government.

It's unfortunate but there are very few true conservatives these days. They campaign on small government yet want to police people's bedroom.
Liberals are much more intrusive however.

May have been true at some point, but the narrative has been molded to such that you can't even disapprove of something without people thinking you want it outlawed. It is very possible to disapprove of something but believe in an individuals right to participate in it. Hopefully this will become more apparent has we move forward.
