Being that there is no biological distinction between races, as evidence we should all be treated equal, can race be fluid?

LINK /

Edit: Say for example you grow up as a white male in a predominant black neighborhood. Can you identify as "black" as part of your cultural upbringing?

Are you talking perceived race, or actual race?

Because actual race 'is what it is'.

I mean, we thought a cock and balls 'is what it is', but apparently not.

You're on a roll today.

I've seen it argued that race can indeed be fluid (akin to gender), but ethnicity (similar to sex) cannot.

But take that with a huge grain of salt, as I'm in higher education; so I'm surrounded by folks who dispute the nose on their faces, preferring theoretical discussions to practical ones.

DNA isn't biological? Isn't skin color sort of genetic? Maybe I'm just being picky.

Ya, but I'm sure at least 50% of liberals would have to agree that race is fluid. Everything else is.

There are no boundaries anymore.

If you want to be a dragon, be a dragon.

I personally identified as a white male who wants to be a black female who wants to be a Man-Bear-Pig.

Then where is that distinction? I have not yet found it.

What race are Brazilians?

I'm asking a relevant question applicable to the times we now currently live in.

Good question. So then, maybe there shouldn't be race classifications at all?

In your current situation, how can one identify as black if you live among blacks? What if you are Chinese and go to a predom Mexican school - are you somehow now Mexican?

Identifying and actually being are two entirely different notions IMO

That's the point, though.

What makes a person black? Or Hispanic?
