Muslims were not the primary immigrantion issue people were worried about. UKIP is a joke.

As far as the current refugee issues, they could not just roll into the U.K. like they could walk around the rest of Europe. Freedom of movement only applies to EU citizens and britian has different border rules than the rest of the EU.

agreed, for my BIL it was the Poles, for my FIL it was Muslims for others it was someone else, Muslim immigration was a large component though, British racism would make Bull Conner blush.

refugees yes you are correct, EU citizens could come and go as they wished and the threat of EU "homegrown" terrorist was sowed pretty heavy leading up to the referendum, esp after Paris.

the UK never wanted to be in the EU from the get go...why would they? they are different than most of the other countries because they are a group of islands....they didnt want people able to retire/bring invasive species/ and to have to use new money when the pound has been around since like 1200AD.

Nowadays why would you want to be a member? So that it makes it easier for people to travel to and fro from radical hotbeds? You dont even need to go to the Middle East to be radicalized....just go to a suburb of Paris or eastern Germany.

Not condoning just wondering. These folks aren't far from Northern Ireland both in geography and years. Catholics vs. protestants. They would throw grenades at the funerals of the dead opposing sides members. Blowing up some congregated Muslims doesn't seem like much of a stretch.

Again, I am in no way condoning or pulling for such things to happen. But these European nations are tiny by our standards, and they are damned ISLANDS. Just a definite tinderbox feel to it.
