Breaking with tradition, Trump White House forgoes Ramadan dinner

For the first time in nearly two decades, the White House did not host an iftar dinner to commemorate Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
Instead, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania released a statement on Saturday wishing "warm greetings" to those celebrating Eid al-Fitr, an important holiday marking the end of Ramadan. LINK

Considering it was a recent tradition (last three Presidents have done it) and that it's a Muslim holiday, I'm cool with it.

Seems like the type of spot to get an easy "I hate extremists, not the whole religion" point on the scoreboard to help in some of his existing political battles about whether he's targeting terrorists or muslims

Appeasing extremists is a failed strategy. Muslim respect Trump because he won't pat on their back while peeing down their leg. They know is not fake. If says he will do it they can count on him to keep his word.
