Haven't kept up with this, is the replacement better than the last piece of shite than Ryan tried to ram through?

Who knows at this point.

Hopefully its better than the shitshow Ryan wanted. I guess it shouldn't have been a surprise that Mitt Romney's butt buddy wanted to rearrange the deck chairs on Obamacare.

I'm encouraged that the freedom caucus seems to be on board from what I've read.

Hse GOP does have "martial law/same-day authority" which could enable them to bring $ bill/health care bill to flr quickly

Hse GOPers post a host of health care-related docs on Rules Cmte website late tonight. Could portend action on health care bill soon

It's the same bill with a few amendments added, most notable one that allows states to decide on covering pre-existing conditions and EHB's. It's still a terrible bill with no chance of getting through the Senate. Trump and the WH desperately want it passed in the house before tomorrow's 100 day mark.

Anything is better than OCare. Truly. So, just pass it and see whats in it later.

Truly, anything is better than what the democrats shoved through in the middle of the night...

I would say anything would be better, but there can always be something worse.

They should just say "it's repealed, lock, stock and barrel, effective January 1, 2018."

One page, that's it. Market returns to pre-ACA and then you propose some "improvements" based on that.

Someone tried this and it went no where. A one sentence bill terminating OCare. Keeping the Pre-existing clause, too many lobbyists got their grubby hands in to do it this way. IOW's it makes too much sense so they can't...

I would just like to say that this is why, over the decades, liberals have kicked conservative arse.

Liberals look at a goal and are completely happy to reach it in fits and starts over time. Hell, they're perfectly happy to pass shite if that shite takes them incrementally towards their goals. Then, you look up 40 years later and you're like, wait, wut, how the frick.........All they care about is the trend line.

Conservatives are much more all or nothing. So, they quite often get nothing which, means the trend continues against them

It allows cross state competition with pre-existing rates.

This alone would crush the ACA model

I am sadly not seeing they are voting on this anywhere, nor here.

I heard they were close, that's it...
