I'm not surprised because the Berkeley thugs have vowed to disrupt any Trump rallies held in Berkeley as well as stop any conservative speaker from speaking on campus.
We'll see what happens next on April 27th when Ann Coulter is scheduled to speak at Berkeley about illegal immigration.

Bikers had vowed to fight anti-Trump protesters, should they cross police barricades. Not surprisingly, the leftists turned violent, and fur started flying.
In a nutshell, people have had enough.
The "patriots" were waving flags, supporting freedom; the thugs didn't care for it.
Sadly it will probably take someone getting killed before these police departments wake up. At places like Berkely they have by and large been letting these people get away with anything, right up to and including assault.
What needs to happen is Jeff Sessions needs to use the power of the DOJ to start investigating these police forces for failing to protect the civil rights of everyone.

I studied a lot on, and wrote a few papers on ol' Huey Long. If I remember correctly, the quote may have actually come from Huey; as you mentioned.

Leftists like this live in an insular world surrounded by each other, the MSM and academia where they never got their arse beat and were always told that they are right.
This was probably a much needed introduction to the real world for them.
