If you want to go that route, Bernie needs to be filing fraud charges himself.

You realize that their emails proved collusion and fraud, right?

pronoun check. spell it out for me big boy.

right now, the announcement is that the DOJ has indicted maria butina for acting as a lobbyist without registering as a foreign agent, and also that she has conspired to commit offense to the united states under that pretext.

if you want to start a separate subject about the hacked DNC emails and whether or not that constitutes actionable indictments against hillary and john depodesta, i'm certain that your fellow board mates would find great interest in that...

bernie's not the DOJ, but i'm certain if he wanted to, could file civil suits against the DNC.

Yeah, I would ignore the substance of those emails if I were you, too.

The DNC is a private organization. This is cyber bullying.

It was a private organization back in 1972 too when a bunch of people went to jail for "bullying" it.

You act like you are some unbiased source just disseminating information yet you only are interested in information that attempts to hurt the president. Hmm, weird.

Obama agrees with me:

quote:

No, I don’t think it was an act of war,” he told CNN’s “State of the Union” show that aired on Sunday. “I think it was an act of cyber vandalism that was very costly, very expensive. We take it very seriously. We will respond proportionately.”

I just looked at her wiki page and apparently she owned 7 furniture stores and sold 6 of them at age 23(2011) to open an ad agency. Who has 7 furniture stores as a 23 year-old?

what obama said at the time, to one press outlet during an election is completely different than what intelligence committees and the DOJ are saying after a two year investigation.

i, unlike you, put things into context. my "heroes" aren't infallible. what they say, whom they say it to, and when they say it is important.

i'm sure at this point, obama holds a different opinion of the hacks if he's been given the update.

He could do that anyway.

But it’s a private organization. Therefore, he can’t bring criminal charges.

And that works both ways. These hacks were of a private organization.

Oh I have no doubt about that. That quote was when he was asked about the Sony hacks. His point was that a cyber attack against a private company is not an attack against the government. It doesn't mean it's not illegal...but your hyperbole is just that.

Was she arrested for not registering as a foreign agent or for something else?

A lot of orgs and lobbyists in DC fail to register as foreign agents. Aren’t people allowed to retroactively file FARA docs?

That seems to be the gist of the indictment. If so this is a dog. A dog with fleas to be more precise with baldspots from too much scratching. While I find it odd that Russian politicos are making friends with the NRA, I'm not sure any of this is illegal on its face. Is it the government's contention that Butina was a bagman for Putin/ GRU? Or is it thatshe was wrong to even get involved with the NRA. Is there a money trail because what I've read in the indictment there is not.

It's not as though Butina was hiding her involvement with the NRA, it's been out there and she was using traditional social media like Facebook and Twitter. The government will contend that because she knows someone who is a politician in Russia and he introduced her to some over zealous NRA members that she is somehow in the business of exploiting and colluding with them to set up some sort of cover story or something more nefarious.

Discovery should be interesting on all of this. If there was no consideration of any appreciable extent, you really can't prove espionage and besides the NRA is a private organization who did not hide their "reservation" about Hillary Clinton.

However Michigan, the courts and the DOJ take a dim view of non citizens acting domestically as a foreign agent...traditionally

Yep. The have it all. Russian/election collusion, conservatives, the NRA and money laundering to tarnish all the afore mentioned. They will eat this up with a big spoon!

Never mind the crooked Clinton's, Obama's, Holder, Rice, Powers, hell, the entire Obama admin, DNC, DOJ/FBI/CIA officials, Amran Awan and family and sooo many others too many to list who so far have eluded justice.

Sickening!
