If this means "one day where everybody goes about their day without bringing up race", then I support it whole-heartedly

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Mayor Sharon Weston Broome, along with other Baton Rouge community leaders and partners, proclaimed Tuesday, January 17 as National Day of Racial Healing. This comes in conjunction with the city and mayor's collaboration with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, which has called upon various civic, religious, community, and philanthropic organizations to facilitate racial healing in the Baton Rouge community. The nationwide effort includes more than 130 other leaders and cities across the country.

I'm guessing their 3 day weekend is now a 4 day weekend?

Do I get a day off work? If no, then don't care.

I think a good way to achieve racial healing is to not have a "Day of Racial Healing" which only reminds everyone of our differences.

Color me dubious that she wants to put race behind us.
