Just this one weekend. It's easy. Saints are 0-2.

But continue paying your cable bill so they get most of their money from you anyway.

That'll show em!!!

I have barely watched any NFL the last 2-3 years. Not because of a boycott though, but because the product just sucks and is boring.

The lifeblood of the NFL are its advertisers paying the television broadcasters, and the broadcasters paying the NFL, followed by merchandise licensing deals.

Stop watching and stop buying any team related gear. If they don't nip this in the bud, soon, the costs are going to start t pile up. Advertisers are going to balk and the networks will have to decide how much they are willing to pay for a damaged product.

False. Most of their money comes from cable subscribers. Most of that money is from people who actually never watch sports at all.

Truth is they're facing a lot of issues (cord cutters being #1), this issue is just sexy and fun to talk about. Not actually something that moves the needle that much.

Yeah I guess living in my parents basement wasn't working for me anymore. Wanted to be a grown up, weird I know.

How late are you allowed to stay out on week nights?

If I ever see Steelers kneeling I am out. The Rodney's don't put up with that crap.

Haven't watched a game yet, and don't plan on starting anytime soon.

I'm a Saints fan so I guess I've been boycotting professionally played football for quite a while.

I haven't lived with my parents since high school (around a decade) and I don't pay for cable. They don't have a basement anyway. Have fun throwing away around a grand a year in cable when I watch the same shite you do for the price of the internet service and an antenna.

When you used the term "grown up", maybe you should have used "financially irresponsible".

On topic, I'll be watching the Red Zone via Reddit for free, so I guess I'm in on the boycott!

Nice grown-up response.

I don't consider myself poor at all. What makes you think that?

You can even stop paying your cable bill. ESPN, CBS, FOX, etc. are already paying the NFL billions just for the rights to air games. Regardless of whether you subscribe or not.
