If ppl don't believe others that have actual issues that's on them. I'm a woman + a minority, I have every right to be fearful @ a PWI

@autumpatrice
If this WAS what I thought I saw, why in the world would I endanger my safety just to get closer?? ?? I'm BLACK hunny, not risking it thx

Has the Klan actually done anything other than hold shitty rallies in the past 30+ years?

Sure they do, doesn't mean it isn't stupid.

Her feelings are valid, dammit! We've entered into an era where feelings are given equal weight with facts.

The Klan is the literal boogeyman for some folks.

It's like Chupacabra, the hook stuck in the door and the stalker calling inside your house all at once.

Yeah, the Klan was dangerous 100 years ago. Maybe 70 years ago. But the past 50 years? Klan (hell, violence directed against black folks "just because") violence is transitioning to being a historical event, nothing something experienced by folks who are alive today. I mean the marches in the 70s and 80s (mainly protesting school desegregation) were pathetic and embarrassing. Dangerous? Not at all.

even the staunchly conservative SPLC estimates that at max there are 8k members across the nation

I would like to ask her this question:

In the past 5 years which group has terrorized more people:

The KKK?

or

BLM?

This is hilarious and a sign of the times.

The Klan is virtually extinct. They have extremely few members and only really exist now as a boogeyman/political narrative for the left.

There ARE legitimate hate groups in this country, but the KKK virtually doesn't exist.

Surprised it's as high as 3,446. I'm guessing most of that was closer to that 86-65 mark than anything in most of our memories.

i've said for a LONG time that if somebody brings up the KKK as a threat today, you can dismiss everything they just said and what they're about to say
