If you have a specific allegation make it. Support it with evidence. Right now all you have is assumptions clouded by your bias.

even if you are right (which I am not saying you are) how would you stop that? Only orphans are allowed to be elected?

All I have is a lifetime of watching politicians profit one way or another from their positions.

But you have convinced me it doesn't happen and it is pure coincidence Mary's husband sells houses to lobbyist and Bobby's brother works for a big DC law firm that represents big money clients with business in Louisiana.

You are talking in generalities and applying it to a specific situation. It's quite a bootstrap. You are making general allegations about specific people. Make specific allegations and support them. Otherwise the bootstrap argument isn't persuasive.

Purely circumstance the brother of the governor of the state that gives out the most film welfare BY FAR works for the law firm that makes this boast:

quote:

Gibson Dunn Boasts Biggest Media & Entertainment Group

Law360, New York (February 10, 2012, 7:56 PM ET) -- With its bicoastal practice representing major companies in the gaming, social media, movie, television and music industries, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP jumped to the top of Law360's list of the largest media and entertainment practice groups in the world.

The 76-attorney group at Gibson Dunn, which accounts for just over 7 percent of the 1,050-lawyer firm, was followed by Covington & Burling LLP, which has 66 media and entertainment lawyers, and Latham & Watkins LLP, with a team of 63, according to the Law360 Media...

Nothing at all Louisiana taxpayers should concern themselves with.

No BBONDS25--ur right no need to be concerned. Some representative from Dry Prong or Mamou dreamed up that film welfare on his own I suspect.

You are absolutely right. We SHOULD NEVER suspect the motives of our leaders when they do stupid stuff and their family members work for those with business interest related to our state government.

I got it.

Your right.

I love the world of naivete. It is so much simpler. I feel relieved. I'm going to vote for the first guy on the ballot from now on--they are all looking out for us at the expense of their own power and wealth.

Keep being patronizing. That is fine. I simply asked for evidence to backup your "allegation". You can't provide any. We get it

There is nothing at all unusual that Governor Jindal has given away over $1 billion to filmmakers while his brother works for a law firm that boasts of having the largest film and media practice in the country.

Purely circumstantial.

How much they pay for your shitty screenplay is on the company.

Your response is not a denial, btw.

I don't have a screenplay or any interest in the film business but if I did and sold it to a production you and the rest of the tax payers would be footing the bill for 30% of it.

Stupid isn't it? Why would a Rhodes scholar not understand that?? If he understands why would he support?? greed? power? I don't know. Do you?

I have no theory.

You guys are simply jumping to conclusions.

I said BBONDS was right.

It is merely coincidence that while Bobby has been Governor he has expanded film welfare to the point we have spent well over a BILLION dollars on it and his brother works for the biggest film and media law firm.

Do think there is fodder for conspiracy theorists in that fact?

Gibson Dunn is one of the biggest law firms in the country. His brother isn't even a partner...and doesn't work in any of the divisions you are worried about. Take the tin foil hat off.

Couldn't care less. I live in Alabama. You just look like a hack drawing random conclusions.
