What about all the illegal children that have been flowing into the country previous to this? And there is no vaccine for enterovirus so the illegals not having their children vaccinated doesn't help point the blame at them.

Are citizen's children allowed to go to schools without immunization records or up to date immunizations?

That's the part these libs ignore conveniently.

Thousands of kids were plopped into schools with no screening whatsoever and American kids are dead from it.

This is when some governors should have dropped a fricking hammer.

There would be no way these kids would have been put in one of my state's schools considering the complete absence of any health and immunization records.

Posting this here, too. There is zero actual evidence that this is the result of 'illegal' children. A study as recently as last year found no greater incidence of Enterovirus D-68 in Latin America than in the US.

As recently as last year [2013]?

Influx late 2013 and 2014.

Nice try.

Michael Savage said this outbreak is due to the illegals from South of the border. He has a PHD in epidemiology and knows his shite when it comes to things like this. He also said the the outbreak of TB and other crazy diseases are a direct link to Obola's open borders policy. These kids are placed into schools across America where the natural born citizens don't have immunity to these diseases. Treasonous policies up in aqui.

Lol at a study that makes no mention of the US.

It does talk about SOUTH America though... you get confused there?

And to play along with his line of thinking.. if the incidence of EV was the same between Latin American countries and the US in early 2013, then we imported all those kids, guess what.. it ain't the same no more.

I understand that you don't read scientific studies for a living, but some of us do. Here are the relevant passages:

"Although differences in subject recruitment strategies prevent exact comparison between our studies and others, our HRV detection proportions are similar to pediatric respiratory disease studies from North America and Asia which had proportions that varied between 7.7% and 17.4% [7,17,35]. In South America, three separate studies from Brazil observed HRV detection proportions with a broader range, 15.9% to 46.7%, in children with ARI [22,23,25]."

"We also identified low numbers of EV-D68, which has been associated with respiratory disease by others [10], although never in the countries of our study."

It has to come from somewhere. If it wasn't in their population as recently as a year ago, there would not have been enough time for it to establish a sufficient reservoir to make just those immigrating to the US capable of starting an epidemic in a variety of locations.

That's not how diseases like this work.

You're right, I should have said prevalence. They had equivalent percentages of children with the disease in their population, compared to previous studies in North American populations. Given that, we wouldn't expect any 'importation' of disease due to an influx of these individuals.

Think of it like a concentration gradient - unless we only got the kids who had the disease (statistically impossible), there's no way this was the cause of the outbreak, given these data.

We are going to get the word out that Obama's open border policies are putting American kids at higher risk of contracting deadly diseases, and then let the Voters decide.

Good luck with waving your scientific papers and persuading them that we are wrong.

As we've seen with anti-vaxxers and ebola, it is incredibly difficult to speak logic to a crowd that is willfully ignorant.

Yay.

So can you tell me how it's relevant that in early 2013 the whole world had the same % of of HRV detection proportions when the issue we are discussing is the planting of a a large number of potentially sick kids in direct contact with previously unstick American kids?

I get your study.. but it's fools gold - it has zero relevance to this thread.

Oh, and your study did not even mention Guatemala, which is the country of origin that is the focus of the discussion in America in regards to most of these sick kids here.

There's links out there if you want to find them.

Post one link of a peer-reviewed study sowing Guatemala has a higher prevalence rate of enterovirus d-68 than surrounding countries, and we'll have a start. Show that Guatemalans specifically were going to the cities/states where the North American enterovirus D-68 outbreak(s) occurred and you'll start to get some proof.

It's relevant because it shows that the rate of HRV detected by their study was comparable to other studies in other locations, and the rate of EV-D68 among those cases was also comparable (and low). Otherwise you could (rightfully) claim that their low detection rate of the current outbreak-causing organism was due to improper case finding, and call their results into question.

The point, again, is that there was no "planting of a large number of potentially sick kids in direct contact with previously unsick American kids" - at least, not that any data support. The immigrant children and American children previously had enterovirus D-68 at the same rate.

Even accepting your claim on its face, how is it blood on obamas hands?

Unless you are a retard, the evidence is there. And blood is on your hands as well. You enable that fricktwat in the White House by defending and promoting everything he does. Including the promises of amnesty from the White House and by pulling funding from border security. Just as any new case of Ebola that should come about is directly attributed to the presidents policies. You liberals should at least admit when you are being lemmings.

Except it isn't. Post a link with a peer-reviewed study claiming this.

We haven't had any this week! And if (when?) we do, due to the deterioration of infrastructure in West Africa, it won't spread past primary or secondary cases. Can't really blame Obama for someone getting Ebola in Liberia and hopping on a plane, but I'm sure you'll try.

Oh, this is too easy. If travel restriction from Ebola infected countries would be in place we would be better off.

If he hops on that plan and is directed to the U.S. for treatment then yes it is.

And I do want to step back from my earlier post just a tad. Watching Muslim retards on 60 minutes advocating the murder of any non Muslim got my blood boiling. I will say though. The administration is partly culpable for the spread of infectious diseases via the legalized human trafficking going across the border due to the administrations open border policy and push for amnesty. Also, the lack of prosecution for arrested illegal aliens and refusal to deport by the department of justice, Obamas lapdog, all leads to culpability. You know damn well it does deep down. You can try to deny it but the threat would be greatly reduced if your president would have done the right thing. Own it.
