So, apparently, Bill Nye and some of these climate scientists are worried that their lifes' work will be all for nothing if Trump's stance on AGW remains. They wail about it, yet, cherry pick what is and what isn't science.

quote:

For the past three months Dr. Weinberg and volunteers from across the country have been coordinating the protest, which will take place on Earth Day at the National Mall. The group partnered with the Earth Day Network because it had large scale event planning experience as well as a permit for the Mall on Earth Day. The day will begin with teach-in sessions, followed by a four-hour rally featuring Bill Nye the Science Guy, Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha, the pediatrician who helped expose lead poisoning in Flint, Mich., and Lydia Villa-Komaroff, who helped produce insulin from bacteria, among others, before culminating with the march.

Bill Nye- NOT a scientist
Dr Hanna-Attisha- pediatrician
Villa-Komaroff- producer of insulin

Is it me or can any of these three people be classified as AGW experts or climatologists?

quote:

“I see the Science March as a coming-out party for scientists who have always been careful about getting involved in political advocacy and activism,” said Lucky Tran, a molecular biologist who works as a science communicator at Columbia University, and a member of the march’s steering committee. “I don’t think we should see this as a one-off event.”

And now they are all- in on politicizing all science.

They get in your face; and when you tell them that's a little uncomfortable, to step back, they take 4 steps back. They wait a few years, and then they get right up in your face, again, this is a little uncomfortable, but THIS TIME, they take 2 steps back instead of 4. The process is repeated and repeated until they've gotten what they wanted all along.

Remember when caring about the environment was sitting in a tree so they couldn't cut the tree down? Those days are over- forget two steps back.

Hopefully the cast of the Big Bang Theory will be there, too. It's important to include all TV scientists in this march.

Please tell me how Bill Nye is a scientist. EVERY educational degree as a scientist was given to him via "honorary" status.

He's has an engineering degree doesn't he?

Last time I checked engineer =/= scientist.

Bill Nye has a mechanical engineering degree, one of my kids has a mechanical engineering degree, somewhere in the process of my kid's education I somehow missed the part where they were also qualified to be a scientist in the field of climate research.

Much of the "science" of global warming is something we all learned about in high school.

That's why the theory is not controversial to the vast majority of scientists. It's fairly elementary compared to other areas of scientific study.

The minority of people that claim they don't believe in man made global warming are usually motivated to do so because they've been convinced that the tactics to be developed to fight it will somehow have an adverse financial effect on them personally, such as people with oil field jobs for example.
