I feel like he's trying to convince himself it's true, on top of everyone listening - why else repeat it so often?
Also, nice way to *unify* the country making those remarks at an HBCU. frick him. Does he think everyone just forgot he's an old, rich, white dude that's been in politics for 50 years and has made several racist remarks and legislation thats harmed black people throughout the years?
