Ben Carson is uniquely qualified in that he lived in the ghetto and went through common childhood adversaries, like nearly killing your mother and cousin.

Trump offered him both DHH and SG but Carson was adamant in wanting HUD and would not be swayed. Having grown up in rough HUD properties he feels he has a unique view on how to better the agency.

I guess but I drive a car everyday. That doesn't really make me qualified to be an effective CEO of GM.

So the only people that can ever have cabinet positions are people that have previously served in said department? Because being the surgeon general or Secretary of HHS isn't like being a doctor at all.

No, I'm just saying I'd rather have someone with some relative administrative experience. Living in the ghetto 50 years ago isn't a huge qualifier, IMO.
