Wrong- recall that Bannon didn't jump on the Trump train until AFTER Trump took down Cruz. Bannon and Breitbart were full on Cruz-bots until they no longer had a choice.

Trump won the nomination on his own. Trumps policies are still Trump's policies- nobody else's. He started his campaign with them, he won the election on them, and he will continue to enact them during his Presidency. Bannon being out will not affect his agenda.

Trump will continue to MAGA

Kelly didn't understand what Bannon did, why he had a PR portfolio, why he seemed to cause so much trouble with colleagues and why he was so widely disliked. He asked many questions about Bannon in his early days at the White House and found widespread disdain.

"No one liked him,” senior White House official said. "People didn't know what he did other than stab his colleagues in the back."

Kind of off topic but I think one of the biggest missed opportunities for libertarians to bring in both sides of the aisle in for something impactful was police and sentencing reform but that got absolutely shite on by BLM and the media.
Well Rand is still sponsoring criminal justice reform bills most recently with Kamala Harris. And I posted a thread the other night about Tom Cotton who was the only Senator that prevented a juvenile justice reform bill to be reauthorized. He thinks we have an under incarceration problem.

This ticks me off; because when Trump was placing his cabinet; CNN melted over Bannon and said Trump can't pick him because they said so.

?? Are you suggesting that's not true??

Bannon didn't join Trumps team until August of 2016. Before then, Bannon was the political guru for Cruz's $$ man -Robert Mercer and his C-PAC- both of which were ardent Cruz supporters. It wasn't until 3 months after Cruz and Kasich dropped out of the race that Bannon joined Trump's campaign.

So the idea that Bannon "got Trump elected," is laughably false. Bannon leaving doesn't affect ANY of Trump's policies.

I can show how Bannon got Trump elected (helped anyway, no one thing got Trump elected), using only August, Sept and October.

Bannon WAS Breitbart in my view. I may be proved to be wrong, but that does not matter since its only PERCEPTION that matters.

So...as I see it, former and current Brietbart people who likewise identified Bannon as " Brietbart people spokesperson " in the campaign were influenced to help, and give money and vote for Trump.
He only won Mich by 10K or was it Pennsyvania? They were both in the under 50K range and I think Wisconsin was under 50K too.

You only need so many Michigan Militia to speak for you at home and in bars.
Hunters in PA.
et cetera.

the difference in the whole election was a few votes in each precinct of the three good sized close races.

it was a factor, Bannon was a major factor.

However, I am certain that if Comey shut his mouth once the parties were nominated, Clinton is president. He threw gasoline on the fire, twice.
The 2nd one was obviously gratuitous. Oh wait, maybe we missed one. Immediately the whole topic was front page and 24/7 news. Days later, oops, no more to see. No 2nd uproar, she wins Mich, Wisconsin and PA and the election (and probably one or two more states. She was up big before Comey.

A) if Bannon/Breitbart were so influential, Cruz would have won more than 7-8 states. He had FAR more money available than Trump did throughout the entire campaign.

B) Clinton was always way ahead in the "polls." So much so, that she didn't even bother with going to the Rust Belt states at all. It was a "given victory" for her all the way into the morning of Election Day, according to the media and their "polls." She even had a big fireworks victory party planned to celebrate. There was no mention of Comey being a problem for her- until AFTER she lost. Then that and muh Russia became the EXCUSE- when in reality, it was just that she was unlikeable, untrustworthy and downright shady. The signs of a Trump victory were there all along- majorly skewed polls and rally size comparisons, to name a couple.
