'That should be for an elementary school student," the teacher told us. "A lot of the kids were not at grade level as far as being able to function and read accordingly.”'

But the priority is to take down Confederate monuments in the middle of the night.

It always seems they do this stuff to appease the loudest voice thinking they will avoid a conflict.......only to find themselves involved in conflict.

Well Bobby Lee did run a college, so disregarding education is understandable!

I'm guessing that some Baltimore seniors didn't pass this test.

Why waste time teaching this computer stuff when there are transgender issues to learn about?

This is what happens when you continually lower standards for one group of people because you believe it helps them compete against their white counterparts. Standards have been lowered so far that we know have articles proclaiming math is racist and high school seniors can barely read on a 3rd grade level. It's not isolated either. This attitude of blacks can't compete so we'll just lower standards and dumb down the curriculum have done incredible damage to the black community.

I've driven through Baltimore at night. It's a dump and I'm not surprised that those are the questions asked to senior HS students there.

They did not. And they still graduated according to the article.

Another factor is tying funds to school performance. It sounds like a great idea.

The problem is principals choose to keep kids moving through the system, regardless of achievement, than hold them back.

Principals choose money over what is the best interest of the student and society as a whole.

I know this happens. My wife is a HS teacher and we see it every day, even at good schools.

I don't understand why these parents aren't furious their children are being robbed of a future. Hell, I, always fighting to have my child assigned work above his grade level.
