Muslims have this knack for thinking that their religion is more important than other people. Or that other people should take islam more importantly than they do. They can't imagine someone not taking THEIR religion seriously. It just doesn't occur to them that plenty of people get along just fine without islam or any religion in some cases. So in turn they start getting uppity and so defensive that they're offensive, and when a religion gets offensive, they get rotten pigs heads. Sorry, if you want to practice, do it peacefully and understand that the population on earth doesn't owe you anything because you're a Muslim.

Judging from the size of the initial request, however, it is abundantly obvious that Muslim refugees have no desire to assimilate to the culture around them and instead desire to self-segregate.
Either assimilate or go to a country where you don't have to.

As I've said before, I lived in Sydney from 2000-2005. These observations may be twelve years old, but things haven't turned for the better there, I'm sure. All I can say is, go into some of the western suburbs of Sydney, like Bankstown, Auburn, Lidcombe, Punchbowl, or Fairfield and you would think you were in Little Beirut. It is just not the Muslims, either. Cabramatta is China central in Australia, and Hitchinbrook has a lot of Hindu Indians. A lot of the other suburbs have a heavy Italian, Greek, or Eastern European influence. The suburb I lived in had a lot of people from the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Czechoslovakia.
Multiculturalism is a great idea in theory but does not work in practice.
To get an idea of the kind of crap that happened in Sydney while I was there as far as Islam goes, just read up on some of the gang rapes and honor killings that happened there.

Couldn't disagree more. Perhaps where you lived that may be the case, but look at whole countries like Singapore which is a hodge podge fruitbasket of different cultures and ethnicities. Malay, Indian, Sri Lankan, Western Brits/'Muricans, Indonesian, Filipino, even some Arabs sprinkled in.
I think the whole Muslim thing has thrown people off b/c I agree 100% that they want world domination and for Islam to be the law of the land. Looking at Belgium, France and Germany are skewing the perception just a bit in terms of multiculturalism.

There's a reason why most ME countries are giant, culturally regressive shitholes.

I don't know what Singapore's immigration policies are like. Has it been that way there for a long time, under some kind of controlled flow where the mix of elements had time to melt and blend in? The difference may lay in that Australia's immigration policy did not become extremely liberal until the early to mid 1970's as far as immigration from Asia and the Middle East. Prior to that, it was eastern and southern Europe starting after World War II into the 1950's. I guess what I am trying to say is that it may take many generations for multiculturalism to work and it just hasn't been long enough yet for Australia.

That was true of America too. We use to have neighborhoods designated primarily by national origin. In East Coast cities you can still hear neighborhoods referred to along those lines.
America is way better at integration than most other countries though, from what I've seen traveling. For some reason liberals forget that.

Singapore has zero tolerance for crime. They'll throw your arse in jail for spitting on the sidewalk.

Comparing Singapore to the U.S. or Australia is akin to comparing fire and ice in regard to the law. The laws in Singapore are very strict, so they know they can't frick around and cause problems there. They will get dealt with by the cane, and that's just how it is. It's not some glorious fruit basket where everyone gets along on their own. The laws make it what it is.

Nobody gets along with Muslims

quote:Islam isn't alone here. Christianity is (or should be) the same way. The difference is that Christians can still be Christians in secular countries while Muslims can't or have an extremely difficult time with it.

Islam teaches that the entire physical world should be physically subdued and converted to Islam. Christianity teaches that the whole world of people should be preached to so that God would change their hearts to become members of His spiritual kingdom. Islam's physical kingdom requires people to convert or die physically. Christianity's spiritual kingdom requires people to convert or die spiritually. Islam can't assimilate very well because of their theology around the caliphate and the physical domination of the world.

you do know that Muslims, like all other religions believe in divine revelation...what makes them so dangerous and arrogant, and spot on with the point you made in your post is Muslims ridiculously claim mohammed's revelations were the last and final from God and perfection.

It is unknown if the rotting pig head is connected to anti-Islamic sentiment latent in the minds of native Australian; however, as both the proposal for the expansion of Australian International Islamic Community College occurred shortly before the pig’s head, it is possible that this “hate crime” is linked to the Islamic proposal.
People who oppose spending millions on Muslim-only specialties are not necessarily harboring "latent anti-Islamic sentiment." Nor are people who wouldn't mind spending those same dollars to ship the non-assimilating immigrants back to where they came from. If Muslims can't accept the customs and mores of their new country, they should go to a country that better suits their needs.

America even goes as far as invent a new culture as witness by Creoles.
