So you just fill in the details about their meeting the legal requirements by making assumptions? Okay, got it.
Everything I posted is fact, unlike you I don't create statistics out of thin air.

What's the racial makeup of BR's city council?
Mobile is having big issues with three black city councilmen in Mobile voting down any and everything the white city council members put up b/c our ex Mayor (who is black) was voted down to serve on our city's water board last week by the white council people. It's turned very ugly and of course racial.

What's shady about it? They are protecting their financial viability. Same as SG was trying to do.

This map proves that there was a rush by businesses across the parish to get in the city before Armageddon.
It was a universal response to all the uncertainty a new city would create.
The map proves it.

SG didn't make huge leaps over residential areas in order to ease the burden of collecting signatures for the petition.
Do you really think having piecemeal city boundaries is a good thing?

I think it's a better alternative than the entire parish losing the revenue for one small group of people.

It wouldn't.
And that's not a "small" group of people.

Yes, it would. The 2% sales tax that goes into the parish general fund would be lost to the SG city fund.
The population of SG is small compared to the entire parish of EBR.

Well no duh...I think that can be said of any city in any parish. An why shouldn't a city keep its own tax revenue to use for itself instead of giving it to the parish? Why does Baker need to give money to help Central? Why does Central need to give money to held downtown?

Again, all of this assumes the consolidated government remains in place. If that were to happen then that would only prove SG right because the city would be run by complete morons.
SG isn't going to happen but if by some miracle it does, there is no way we keep a consolidated government.

For incorporations, the amount of taxes that flow to the parish general fund is much smaller than the unincorporated parts. Your argument about cities giving any money towards the parish is just ignorant. Why do we all give the state taxes? Why give the federal government taxes? See where that logic leads?

I wasn't aware that a city, or even a parish for that matter, had the ability to provide the types of services that the State/Feds can. There is a large gap between parish and State/Fed. There is hardly, if any, between city/parish.
