Obviously, North Korea is becoming a larger threat with each passing month it seems. If we were to take him out, would it trigger WWIII with China? Is it beneath the US to do, or just not possible? Maybe we could put a bomb inside Dennis Rodman, finish off two birds with one stone.

If we're lucky, @real's brinkmanship will enrage Rocketman to sufficient irrationality that his own generals take him out. Now THAT would be pan-dimensional chess.

you stay classy.

The biggest fear is that the people in a position to take over power are brainwashed to believe in his ideology. One of them will take power, and feel the need to do something strong and forceful to assert his strength hoping to hold the populace together, who would have essentially just watched their god die mysteriously or outright as an act of war.

That's where the real danger is. KJU is madman, but he's a madman revered as a god. What about the madman who thinks he needs to prove something?

The problem would be having someone in place to take over after it happened. Would the region go into a power grab for the land? Would the citizens go into chaos? Without someone there to introduce them to western ideas the right way look for another dictator to come in and do more of the same.

Although he is off his rocker batshit crazy, he could easily be the bridge we need to calm this situation.

I've often wondered if KJU sleeps with one eye open at all times. I'd be a nervous wreck if I were him.

IMHO he is very well protected and this kind of attempt would not be a guaranteed success. Also, it is probably illegal under international law to make this attempt without UN Security Council pre-approval.

My only concern is that since WWII,
When has the US ever removed (or facilitated the removal) of a dictator and actually made things better?

I don't think China would go to war over North Korea. North Korea offers no benefit to China, and it isn't worth going to war with your best customer over.

Well to begin with there is a tiny little prohibition against it we agreed to in the Geneva convention as well as a pesky little US law.

More importantly it is a gentlemens agreement to avoid tit for tat assasinations like in the past, many a war was started by doing this.

In this particular situation we likely would not have a good enough grasp on who his replacement would be and if he would be better or worse.

To futher complicate the issue is it would make our frenemies China and Russia very nervous and that is not a good thing, remember NK borders both of them. Russia invaded Ukraine over moving closer to the west, a unified Korea friendly to the US scares them shitless.

this thread has been started every day for the past 3 months. there are no signs or indicators form anywhere that anyone will assassinate him. we couldn't even off Castro 500 miles away but we're somehow gonna get kimmie 5000 miles away?

About 15 min after China stops buying US bonds and dumps the ones they hold on the market the gig is up in the good ole USA, also condider the fact that almost our entire manufacuring sector is dependant on Chineese input.

We are far to entertwined for conflict, both economies would crash instantly and it would take decades to recover.

I honestly don't think it would be catastrophic, from what I've gathered alot of the top guys question his methods. In other words, I don't think it would be anything like ousting Saddam, I think Koreans are more civilized.

If ya ain't caught then I'm gonna say zero. If you are caught you need a cyanide pill and a fake history. Would be best if you were actually Asian but these days we work with what we got. Or so I read on the interwebs
