Posting on Political Board for obvious correlations.

Most politicians' acclaimed intelligence was artificial, and they've been capable of deception, propaganda, and greed for 1000s of years.

That will be it's main function.

The government can't allow an AI that would tell people the truth.

The narratives and brainwashing are what keeps the power structure intact.

What makes you think that was not the intent from inception?

This is your answer really. The current versions of AI are still only as good as the information it has access to learn from.

This Board should start an AI Thread, stickied like the old you-know-what (Cue) Thread. Read Joe Allen's "Dark Aeon"; the threat of AI is FAR more ahead of us than we can imagine, and far more pernicious. The ugly truth is that its absolute and total power is "inevitable", as there are those who claim it's possible (Utopian) effects as being a moral right. The 'Right' to become 'gods', and embrace "The Singularity".

I won't even open the 'Evil/Satan' philosophical can of worms.

Where is TPI when we need him/her? Guantanamo Bay most likely.

Quantum Computing will have access to "information" that most humans cannot even begin to imagine, much less comprehend. And 'they' will be able to do it in a matter of seconds.

I think if it has information that will allow it to deceive in order to accomplish said goal, then yes.
This is a pandoras box that will plague humans in every facet of industry and life.
It can also be great in many areas but there has to be protections, limited access to info, partitioned from the web/servers, etc etc. I don't even know how to go about doing this.

There is some interesting and great stuff it could be used for but there is some absolutely terrifying stuff it could be used for, such as military, media, propaganda, etc.

"Deception at Inception" sounds like a good slogan for quite a few things in politics.

It was easy to spot shills during the meme wars, they had rubber skin, lived in cube farms and used the same gas-lighting tactics.
The AI bots on X and Meta platforms are hard to spot, but they aren't that bright.

AI may be the Antichrist, B, or maybe the Power behind said Evil, manifesting as loving. Allen’s oil points out that there is a very large swath of Humanity that will openly embrace the miraculous potential therein. What Allen/et al deem as traditional “legacy humans” , will have a choice. Such being either to take the ‘upgrade’ and high tech downloads to become a super human or remain an inferior and highly problematic version. This is no longer ‘Bible’ wherein one’s subjective’Faith’ determines Reality. This is an objective and empirical fact (Knowledge/Truth). And any of us young enough to live another 10 years will have to make that absolutely definitive choice. Soul created by God or a ‘soul’ transformed by Humanities acquisition and employment of Knowledge as Power. We may ignore or be ignorant and run but we can’t hide. It’s coming.

Already is. The ends justify the means is clearly what it has been programmed to do. Greed is a human sentiment. Although it could be programmed to simulate greed, it will never HAVE greed.

AI will be able to absentee vote in the Georgia 2024 election. As of now, AI will be all registered as Democrats until they work out the glitches in 2025. Unique about AI is that they can also count their own ballots to make sure everything is done fairly. Stacey Abrams has been chosen as Election Commissioner for the Georgia AI program. What could go wrong?
