Are North Korean soldiers aware of the U.S. military's capabilities?

Seems like as a soldier you would have to know your enemy.
The NK leaders hide the power of the U.S. from the average citizen, but the soldiers must be aware, aren't they?

They're probably more brainwashed than the average citizen.

C130 rollin down the strip, NK soldiers on a one way trip

I would think only those at the very top.

quit the military?

absolutely no way they are remotely aware. they live in a world of made-up shite and even if their leaders' biggest exaggerations about their own power were true, they would pale in comparison to the actual ways in which we can destroy them.

They probably keep up with that through fox news.

I had a friend who defected and ended up at LSU. He said the first time he saw a map of the world he was in awe of how small North Korea is. In the maps he had seen North Korea is a massive empire that controls most of the world. South Korea, China, and the US are tiny little slivers of land.

Doesn't matter, they just have to follow orders, or watch their families raped and killed by some crazy way, like a pack of dogs, or strapped to an ICBM.

If so, they should be scared shitless.

Just an interesting tidbit:
The Korean People's Army constitutes the military force of North Korea and, under the Songun ... military service, 6,515,279 males, age 15-29 (2010)
I saw one of those high stepping marches on tv the other day and commented to the wife how young some of their soldiers looked. I see why now.

Are we aware of their capabilities? I'm not talking about what kind of missiles or planes they have. I mean do we know that they haven't created an army of cyborgs or zombies hyped up on PCP?

Surely their navy has seen ships from other countries like South Korea or Japan and looked at their own fleet and realized how they are on pieces of crap compared to other countries..

Yes, and that's why they're hell bent on developing atomic weapons. They can read current events just as well as anyone else. The United States invades countries it doesn't like, unless they have nukes.

I wonder if they consider the USS Pueblo as part of their fleet?

I'm sure they just Googled it to learned all about it from youtube.

They give tours of it, so I don't think so. They consider it a war trophy.
Probably just the upper echelons know how shitty their army is. I'm sure G.I. Nork thinks he is invincible. The only thing the NoKo Army has going for them is the human wave.

I'm sure they aren't under the impression they will be invading the US mainland, but I seem to recall they fought us to a stalemate in 1953 (with Chinese help). I can guarantee you that the Pentagon is not taking the NK military capability as lightly as this board is.
