So wait, they killed off Archie from the Archie comics?

What fricking loons these people are, but it really does seem to be a stunt. Isn't the core readership mostly Christian? Hence the religious Archie comics? If so, bad move.

I think this is the last Archie depicting his life as a grownup. 75 years and he goes out being used as a cheap political stunt. A horrible way to die.

In the movie How to Train your Dragon 2,there is a gay Viking in it. Just a brief mention but another cheap stunt.

Betty was game but Veronica was so hot I would ride her over the edge of the world and not stop. Sort of a Mary Ann to Ginger thing.

the point was to drive readership.

he won't stay dead.

If you read comics, you will know its pretty routine to kill off a character only to bring him/her back.

Bob Montana was kind of a free spirit guy that lived 6 or 7 miles from where I grew up. Knew 2 of his daughters. Riverdale was Haverhill, MA, and the characters were kids he knew from Haverhill High School. Everyone locally visited his farm at one time or another to listen to his stories. (Word was that he had dated several Betty types in high school but couldn't cut the mustard with the socially-upscale Veronica types.)
