Serious question: since Flynn was technically a private citizen having a chat and chew with a Russian diplomat, and not a federal employee at the time, what could he be guilty of? He was not in position to enact a quid pro quo, even if he pledged to do so. Once he took office, it appears the only thing he's guilty of is not being upfront with Pence about his meeting while he was still a private citizen.

Where's the crime? Would I be considered a criminal if I had lunch with a Russian diplomat?

frick no, Flynn has already been cleared of any wrongdoing in regards to his phone calls with the Russians.

I would imagine that Flynn is going to get charged in connection with the money he was paid by these government that he didn't disclose in his security clearance interviews or notify his superiors of. I would further bet that he didn't pay any taxes on those payments Meaning the IRS will likely get him.

But he didn't do anything illegal in regards to national security, that we know of.

Here's an exhaustive list of every single Obama appointment that pleaded the Fifth:

And you would be wrong:

John Sepulveda (VA Official)
Lois Lerner (IRS)
Greg Roseman (Deputy IRS Director)
Patrick Cunningham (Fast & Furious)
Probably more to come once all the scandals get sorted out.

And the MSM will accept this without complaining, since the precedent has already been set by Lois Lerner, Loretta Lynch, and Bryan Pagliano...

From what I have seen they haven't said that much about it.

Of course, I haven't seen trumpkins saying that means he is guilty like they did for pagliano or lerner.

IMHO, taking the 5th always makes your look a tad guilty, but its a constitutional right and you don't have to be guilty to invoke it.
