I voted for Kasich in the primary, but this board had me full on believing he was a cuck and Trump was the only way to break out of the corruption cycles of the establishment.
Kasich is a cuck.
Cruz or Paul was the answer.

Kasich was a whinny bitch throughout the campaign. "This is what he did in Ohio so that the entire Ohio isn't a shithole."

The supreme court alone is a win... He's also proving that it's not impossible for a politician to do >75% of what they promised during a campaign.
He's cutting Medicaid, Medicare and he might end up keeping most of the ACA (PECs, subsidies, a form of punishment for not buying insurance) but in a worse way.
Also no special prosecutor yet.

I was the 100th downvote.

Logic tells me that someone with experience as an executive (e.g. governor) would be more qualified than a lifelong legislator.
He was Solicitor General for the state of Texas. It's not like he's only ever worked in the legislature, but I see your point. Executives have to compromise and bring opposing sides together to govern, legislators don't necessarily have to.

I don't blame presidential voters for electing Trump. I mean, we had to chose between a douche and a turd sandwich.
No.
I blame all the idiots who voted for Trump during the primaries. 55.05% (the majority) of the Republican primary voters voted for someone other than Trump. And since the Republican field was cluttered with a lot of unqualified people (and I do mean a lot), Trumpkins succeeded at shoving the orange orangutan down our throats.
14 million idiots forced Trump on the rest of us.
God save us.

No fricking shite. Did you not read what I said? Had there been less people, there's a good chance he probably wouldn't have won. But instead we got the least stinky shits out of the litter box of cuckservatives and one orange dumbass.
But not that it matters now since we're stuck with this joke of a presidency, so frick hypotheticals.

You can't have buyers remorse when it could have been Merkel in America.

Kasich. But not for his positions.
I voted for him mostly because he seemed like the only guy who could compromise with the left instead of engaging in pissing matches that never get anywhere (see Trumpcare and travel ban EO).
He also seemed like the best guy to have as the face of conservatives. Not because of his stances (some of which I disagreed), but because he didn't engage in dumb rethoric against the gays, Hispanics, blacks, or Muslims. With the shift in demographics, Republicans are screwing themselves in the long run. In a few decades, it may be impossible to have a conservative president because the Republicans were too stupid and hitched their wagon behind the islamophobic, gay hating, mexican insulting movement. I want lower taxes and a less restrictive government in the future, that's it.
But we've done piss that away now!

I remember when idiots like you said this about Reagan after his first year. I expect a similar outcome with Trump. A second term.

Okay. I can identify your stance now. You prefer eloquent speakers to deliver you a bunch of empty but eloquently spoken platitudes that are 90% lies intended to make people like you feel good about themselves to an unpolished patriot who actually wants to promote American exceptionalism as the way to a prosperous future.

quote:Dude you and the rest like Trump because he makes you feel good--about yourselves and about the US. And that's weird. Don't dress it up as anything more. Anything can turn around I suppose (given the fact that his dumpster-fire of a campaign eeked it out) but all indications thus far point to his administration being horribly incompetent and ineffective on most every front except taking credit for business moves corporations have had in the works for months and years.

And let's not get to the optics and the easily refuted lies and false claims.

It is still to be seen for sure, but Trump at least doesn't seem to just be a lying POS like Clinton, Obama, and the GOP thugs too. All the fricks from inside the beltway.
