Any theories as to why Trump supports ACHA?

1. I would be less puzzled by this if not for the fact that He saw right through the bullshite Paris Accord and what a load of pork it was. Pork that the American taxpayer footed the bill on.
2. I would be less puzzled by this if not for the fact that He saw right through the generals and Military-Industrial complex and neocons thirst for increased engagement in Syria and the Middle East at the expense of the American taxpayer.
3. I would be less puzzled by this if not for the fact that He saw right through the globalists and their desire to expand multinational trade agreements like TPP.
So how/why does Trump correctly assess and boldly move in the correct manner on both Paris and foreign intervention (both outside the box decisions that no other candidate would have acted on) but NOT on the disaster commonly referred to as CuckCare/RyanCare/TrumpCare?
It just boggles my mind, mates. That I can tell you.

Because he wants anything he can point to as a win. Even if it's really another loss.

But he could have done nothing and let ACA collapse and then point to that as a "win".
He could have used this political capital on tax cuts or infrastructure. I guess it is just a rookie mistake or bad advice from his staff?

Obamacare is a disaster and moving forward with an actual replacement is a necessity for Americans

He hates Obama and thinks that destroying something with his name on it is a win, regardless of how many Americans it hurts.

i'm not a Trumpkin and dislike teh ACHA
however, this law would likely help as many and possibly more Americans than it hurts
for instance, it would help me and decrease the "age tax" of the ACA

My best guess is that he's liberal on healthcare and genuinely wants to cover everybody. That he was just railing against Obamacare to help get elected.
I think that makes the most sense. He's talked up single-payer before. I think he's trying to play this down the middle and pass a different bill AND get a "win" over Obamacare.

this should be obvious by now
only Republicans are mandated to follow their campaign promises, though

I'm a Trumpkin and I hate this bill, but I'm willing to listen to how it's better than ACA. I'm not asking you to point out the reasons why, I just didn't want to research it if it wasn't going to pass.

Trump has always been weak on healthcare. He was weak on healthcare during the election and remains weak now. Remember, "we can't let them die in the streets"?
That was not why I voted for Trump.
I was/am expecting congress to pull Trump right on healthcare. However it's disappointing to see that congress is more left on healthcare than Trump has ever proclaimed to be.

they're both terrible and the difference isn't really worth discussing
the problem with the ACHA is the GOP will put the target on its back. they should just admit the ACA was too monstrous of a law and due to the way Obama and the DEMs wrote/implemented it that they can't repeal it. let it die

He just wants credit and affirmation. Something his parents never gave him.

Is that why he continues the establishment agenda in the Middle East?

Yup this was such a no brainer of a strategy, but unfortunately Paul Ryan had lobbyists to appease.

Solid take - I'm right there with you. Ryan is the absolute worst.

Link? Not a single person believes this, except you apparently.

He is a man of action.
Therefore, he abhors inaction.

You have to remember that Paris was non-binding. TPP was still being negotiated so Trump didn't have to kill something already in play. Those agreements affect all Americans, but in an indirect, not so tangible way.
With healthcare, you're playing with live ammo that affects a lot of people. That's the difference.

yeah it's much easier to say "we were wrong during implementation and now realize the law is simply an invulnerable monster that we can't kill" than to pass a shitty, watered-down version of the ACA and then have the failure of government takeover blamed on them for generations

The problem is it doesn't die without Republicans actively killing it. So either way, Republicans own it.
