Can someone tell me specifically what dire consequences will occur if the current dreamers are allowed to stay. There's no evidence that they all, or even most, are a bunch of gang bangers or mooches. Most seem to behave like good citizens.

Yes, you are the only one who feels betrayed.

The reason to vote Trump was to deny HRC. Nothing else matters. Any positives is a bonus.

I'm not a republican. Trump's agenda doesn't really jive with either party. I'm pleased with his effort to work with people from both sides of the isle and particularly disappointed with the GOP's unwillingness to work with him.

No, his values and agenda don't fit whatever label the uni-party wants to assign.

He made an honest effort to work with the GOP. GOP leaders did not make an honest effort to work with him. I have no problem with Trump working with Democrats to achieve mutual goals.

I welcome pragmatism to Washington, as "principled" seems to mean "partisan" in that town as of late.

I think it is more for his ego.

But I also dont mind anything that can get legislation moving forward on immigration and border security, tax reform and health care........Just start taking steps forward, I dont care if they are small ones or not.

All of this was evident during primary which was why I wanted a real conservative. But he is better thanHRC so all is good. Not as good as it could have been but vastly better than alternative.

One of the results of Trump cozying up to Schulozi is the potential division of Trump's base. I have to believe this was discussed at length with his advisors and they decided it was worth the risk in an attempt to get some of Trump's agenda implemented ....., they may have miscalculated!

The only reason Trump is negotiating with Democrats is because Paul Ryan is completely spineless and has no control over his caucus. If he did, he would simply tell Trump that he would kill anything Democrats brought to the floor and that all negotiations have to include him. Trump, or at least the people around him, have correctly realized that the Republicans in Congress can't get anything done because the party is too fractured and the leaders are unable to pull the differing factions together.

Say what you want about Pelosi and Reid, but when the Dems controlled all three branches from 2009-2011, they got a ton of major legislation through largely because of the iron grip those two had on their caucuses. McConnel and Ryan are terrible leaders unless they have to tell people no.

It's more likely that Trump personally likes Schumer because they are both New Yorkers than anything else.

In the midst of 2 hurricanes, Trump demanded tax cuts for the rich.

Yeah, that sounds like NEITHER party's stated platform.

What are these values he has spent his life fighting for? The guy changes parties based on whoever is feeding his massive ego more.

I'm not sure he made a real effort but I'm not sure how he could since he doesn't really understand what they want. It wasn't like he ever had any kind of plan himself either.

Gorsuch might end up being the only lasting victory the right gets with Trump. Better than HRC I guess but that is a low bar.

Why do you care about his core values? Are you going to change any of your beliefs based on what Trump or someone else believes in?
